For those of you who have seen Rules of Attraction, the part of the movie where one guy is telling the story about his trip to europe. What is that kind of cinema-photography called?

Where there is a bunch of scenes out fast forwarded through with a voice over narrating what's going on in the scenes.

WHAT'S IT CALLED?!?!

Being a member of the mile high club means that you have had sex on a plane. I've been wondering whether it *really* happens, and how you would go unnoticed by flight attendants. ^_^

Are you a member of the mile high club?

Yes

No
31(88.6%)
For whatever reason, I'm not sure

Why do most women not match their bra and underwear? Like have them the same color or design. I have ask a lot of women and most say they don't. I would.....it only seems right too. I mean they go together jsut like socks. and no one would ever leave the house with 2 different socks on.

Computer startup issues [Jul. 26th, 2004|10:32 am]
The Question Club

thequestionclub

[fyreflyblue]
My PowerBook has been having problems starting up recently. It makes the happy-Mac chime, gets to the screen that is white with the gray apple on it, and then just hangs there indefinitely (I can hear the disk spinning, but nothing happens), until I turn the power off and try again. It usually takes 3-4 tries (or more) to get the startup to "take". Once it's up, though, it has no problems running.

Has this happened to anyone else? Any ideas on what's causing it or what I can do to fix it?

Ok, so the deal is, this year at school, I want to start an afterschool club for sewing, knitting, crafting and basically do-it-yourself projects. The problem is, I really don't want to call it The Sewing Club because that sounds like somewhere grandmothers go on the weekend. Can anyone think of a better name that describes the club without sounding lame?

sensitive skin [Jul. 26th, 2004|12:45 pm]

I have really sensitive skin. Any kind of jewelry and even belts make me break out in a horrible itchy and bumpy rash unless it's real gold or silver. My question is, if I were to get a tattoo would I have the same kind of reaction? I really want one but I'm afraid it would give me a permanent rash, never heal, etc. Is this a legitimate fear or am I just crazy?

old book question [Jul. 26th, 2004|03:19 pm]
The Question Club

thequestionclub

[chelly_egg]
hello,

do any of you know the name, title, or possible place i could look to get information on the book i'm about to describe?

it is an old book for young girls, about dolls that come to life.
both my sister and i have read it, so it has to be at least thirty years old. there's a chance that it is older, because we may have inherited it from our grandmother.
i don't think the dolls ever interact with their owner or anyone other than each other. they live in a doll house. one of them gets sick (i think). i distinctly remember it being winter in one chapter, but it isn't cold because the snow is actually cotton. it may have had a few illustrations per chapter.
my dad sold all the books we owned and now no one can remember the title or author. we've been trying to find it at used bookstores for years.

thanks to anyone who can help!

Ok, this may seem like a stupid question, but I need to know. I live in New Jersey; if someone makes a long distance call (like from Texas or California) to me, I know that it will show up on my phone bill, but will I be charged for it? Please help, my sanity and my wallet depend on it.

I know that many people get the same dream over and over, sometimes with a few years interval in between them. I get that too occasionally. But i never knew that you can get a dream you already saw, but with some new people in there.. Aside from that the whole thing was the same.. It kinda creeps me out!

Can it be just a work of our minds, I mean maybe we never had the same dream over, but our mind made it up. Because everyone gets deja vu's sometimes, right? So can it be something of a sort?

Let's see...I guess I should actually ask a question to make this somewhat relevant. OK -- how many pets do you have? What kind are they? What are their names?

I've got six pets: two dogs (Jack and Maisy), three cats (Miranda, Ariel, and Storm), and a 7-foot red-tailed boa constrictor (S.C.)

But what I really want is to thank the folks who answered my question last week about pet shipping....Collapse )

We're moving on the 3rd of August, and there's a family reunion in Port Aransas (a ways from Corpus Christi) the 3rd - 6th. I have to leave from Corpus (I timed it perfectly) at 8:30 to get to Austin between 11:30 and 1:00. Should I go to the reunion, or stay home and unpack?

What is the point of fuzz on peach skin? Does it actually serve a purpose? Because fuzzy and fuzz-less peaches taste the same to me.

And on the topic of peaches, did anyone else hat the movie James and the Giant Peach as much as I did? I could just never understand the point of the movie.
