i noticed that birth control pills carry a warning about "problems with your contact lenses." something along the lines of, "if you have any problems with your contact lenses, please contact your doctor." does anyone know what exactly these problems might be? my contacts are dry and mildly uncomfortable a lot of the time, but i just assume this is standard with contacts. why don't they elaborate in the drug info and give some examples of "problems"?

Hair Extensions

In the summer I am going to be working with a Renn Faire, in full costume... my hair is currently chin-length so according to guidelines I need to make it appear longer (about mid-back)... wigs aren't an option as it'd get hellishly hot, so I am considering getting hair extensions when the time comes around.... I've tried searching on it but all I've gotten is garbage... so...

Anyone in here ever get 'em? Are they annoying? What can/can't you do with them? And how much do they cost?

Grazie in advance.

I bought a mouse today for my laptop, and it says the requirement is a PS/2 port. It also says it's IBM compatible. I was under the impression that my IBM Thinkpad has a PS/2 port, but I guess I'm wrong, because it won't hook into the port. do they make adapters for them?

Vintage record players!

Is there a website somewhere preferably with pictures about really old record players?

I have a super old magnavox record player, one of those stand alone types, and I was wondering how old it really is, and if it's worth anything. (It actually still works.)

I tried googling this, but I can't seem to find anything helpful!

why is it cheaper to buy a round-trip ticket than a one-way ticket?
I just looked up on various websites for tickets to zürich, basel, stuttgart and münchen, and they are all in the thousands of dollars for one way. while, round trip is around 600/700. same time period too.
(p.s. i;m just trying to find out how much i need to save in order to graduate on time... i have to go overseas and study in order to graduate on time... it sucks/is fun.)

Date of death: May 11th

In two weeks, I will be sitting in a room with nothing but a pencil, a few idiotic equations, and a periodic table. Yes, dear friends, it's that time of the year again, where a young girl's fancy turns to thoughts of... AP TESTS. Specifically, AP Chemistry.

I was wondering how much all of you have studied for this test, and what you did to prepare for it? How did you all do? Was there an equilibrium question? (I despise equilibrium crap) They had better not ask any history questions in the multiple choice part...

So far, I've been skimming over the previous chapters, making notes of things I have forgotten or want to refresh before the test. In class, we've been doing several practice questions from old AP tests, and my results have been pretty varied - it really depends on the sorts of questions they ask.

Muppet fans?

For those of you who like the Muppets, what's your favorite Muppet movie (not including Jim Henson related movies like Labyrinth and The Dark Crystal)?

I'm watching through them for the first time since I was a kid, and so far, my favorite is Muppets Take Manhattan followed by The Muppet Movie. There have been some major "misses" in there too, and I'm trying to decide which ones to get next.
