I'm looking for some LJ device that would let me know who has friended me but also who I have friended and hasn't friended me back. I'm too lazy to go through my whole list and look for it all myself. Thanks in advance, if anyone knows what I'm talking about!

shopping list

What are your favorite things to make for dinner/lunch?

I've gotten kinda bored w/my usual garlic noodles, pizza, quesadilla rotation so I am looking for some fun new recipes. I do eat meat, but vegetarian is fun too

Thanks!

If you're talking about a band, do you say "is" or "are?" As in ... The Cure are coming, or The Cure is coming?

I've always said "is," but people keep "correcting" me.

Help!

Some genius in my home decided to turn our fridge off. So, our freezer has begun to defrost. I didn't realized this until I opened the freezer and a big block of ice came crashing out.

My question: Do I need to throw out the meat in the freezer? Thankfully, there's not much but I don't really want to throw it out. The sausages are thawed, but I'll make them for dinner tonight. The chicken on the other hand still looks and feels frozen so is it okay for me to just turn the fridge back on and leave the chicken in the freezer for a later date?

420

Did anyone celebrate 420 today? And did you celebrate it at 4:20pm?

Also, does anyone remember the show "Love American Style"? Do you remember the theme song? I remember that I use to watch the show a lot but I can't describe any of the episodes.

Let me preface my question by admitting I know absolutely nothing of investing or economics. Some of my questions might be stupid.

I have about $50,000 right now. Rather than blow it on a Corvette (sigh), I think I'd like to invest some- if not all- of it in stocks or something.

What would be a safe amount for me to invest, given the current economy?

Can anybody recommend any stocks that I should look into buying?

Since I'm still a minor, will I have any restrictions as to how/what I invest?

Any other money/investment/etc. tips would be helpful!

hmmm

I'm in grad school and as I'll be at this school for a decent amount of years my mom suggested I look into buying a condo instead of just continuing to rent my partment. Where can I find infor on what this actually involves (short of calling condo companys--I don't want a sales pitch). I realize I'd need a mortgage and such, but I don't even know how that works! Help!

For the 457401th time in my school career I have to make , what my teacher calls, a "symbolism shield." I'm sure, from when you were in school, you had to make one of these. Pick a few interests/talents/representations of yourself ( or one ) and put them on your shield in some sort of symbolic form. In my teacher's definition, that means no words. This time, I'm choosing my interest in logic and/or math problems, which I do for fun. I'm having trouble thinking of a good way to represent this. Any ideas?
