The Question Club
I was stranded on the side of the road,(ran out of gas) after having a very, very bad day. This nice young woman was kind enough to stop, pick me up, bring me to go get gas, and bring me back to my car. It wasn't a huge deal, but it was pain in the ass rush hour traffic in Charleston, SC (pretty reknowned for its bad traffic for a town of its size). She seemed to be a really nice chick, and we exchanged business cards.
Anyhow, I guess because I had such a bad day, I felt really grateful for her thoughtfulness- especially since I was so frustrated- cops were driving by me not realizing I needed help (though I was waving), because I had managed to pull over in a parking lot.
The next day, I decided to send her a plant to say thank you- I wanted to acknowledge her act of kindness.
Now, I didn't send this to her expecting anything of her in any way. It really was just to say thanks. But it got me to thiking, if the situation were reversed, and someone sent me a plant, I would probably call them.
Would you? Why or why not?
