Can you get a canker sore in your throat? More specifically...on your tonsil?

I have one small dot that looks exactly like a canker sore, on one of my tonsils. It hurts on one side of my throat. I don't have a fever, and I'm not in excruciating pain, so I know it's not strep or tonsillitis...I just didn't know whether or not it was possible to get them there.
