I have finally decided on what I would like to study for my masters degree. I will hopefully be getting a masters in Comparative Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park.
First things first though - I have to take my GREs. Before I can take my GREs, I want to study.
So my question is this... what books or other resources do you recommend? And whereabouts can I purchase them (I prefer to purchase the stuff online 'cause it's easier for me). I'm about to go search amazon.com, but I don't want to end up with some crappy book that won't help me.
Any and all help is much appreciated. And I apologize for the cross-posting. :)
what do you do when some asshole makes a comment about your weight that you've heard thirty thousand times during the course of your school years? Do you scream at him or kick his ass outside of class?
Has anyone here played Final Fantasy X? I'm so freaking close to the end and Braska's final aeon keeps kicking my ass. I don't have Anima or the Magus Sisters, and every walkthrough ever is telling me to kill him with those. Anyone have any tips?
my family lives right along the san andreas fault, and we are supposedly about 60 years overdue for a 6.0 earthquake. this got me thinking: is there anywhere in the U.S. void of the possibility of natural disasters? there are hurricans in the east, tornadoes in the midwest, earthquakes in the west, volcanoes in hawaii . . . anywhere safe?
my mouse's scroll wheel randomly stops working every few days! this is the 3rd time it happened, and both times, i'm not sure how it came back . . . or how it left. it's a brand new logitech wheel mouse optical. got any advice for me? it's currently on the blink.
What's your favorite commercial? Mine is the Keith's beer commercial that goes "what do you get when you mix a beer drinker with a hands talker? A spilly talker!" and then he calls people spillypants, and it's the funniest thing ever.
i'm a freshman in college, living in the dorms, and my roommate keeps eating my food! if she asked, i would say yes, but she doesn't! our RA had us fill out a roommate agreement form together, and i specified that i would like her to ask first before helping herself to my food . . . but today i come back to our room, and some of my stuff is missing from the fridge! i try to get the message across to her by asking before i do ANYTHING with her stuff, like, "may i move this stuff to a different shelf?" "may i have a kleenex?" no luck. how do i TACTFULLY ask this girl to stop eating my stuff without asking?!?!
1) Okay. More school help. For the mock bill in my gov't class, I finally decided to pass a bill to make abortions past the embryonic stage illegal. I still have to do research on it, though. If anyone could offer me good websites, information on the embryonic stage as opposed to the fetus stage, or OPINIONS, I'd be grateful. Tell me why you agree or disagree. I have to be able to defend this bill.
2) Have you ever had a crush on a teacher, and if so did you act on it? No, I am NOT in this situation. I just watched Nikita Blues. Trippy movie.
Is anyone familiar with the National Aquarium in Baltimore? Where do I park?
I'm driving up there on Saturday, and although I have directions, I'm not sure about the parking situation. It would make my day if somewhere were to tell me I could get there on the metro, but I'm sure that isn't the case.
i have photoshop cs2. and i'd like to erase the background of an image. tutorials that i've looked up on the web keep mentioning something about a magic eraser tool, which is not found on the toolbar on the left side. none of these tutorials mention anything about where to find this eraser, not even adobe's official site, or even the help feature within the program. help!
