in the beginning i didn't like harry potter because of the popularity, trend and all the ruckus people were making. and i realized my conclusion was based on ignorant, cuz once i started reading, i started to see why people are so crazy about it.. do you know anyone who sat thru at least one harry potter book and still think it sucks?

Why do body parts "crack"? And conversely, why don't others crack? For instance, my toes have cracked for as long as I can remember, but it actually hurts to try to make my knuckles crack.

Also- I've been wondering this for a long time. Hundreds of years ago people used to use chamberpots. But what would they do when they went to dances, or balls when they had to go to the bathroom? Did they have a room set aside for personal use of the chamberpot?

So when IS the best time to have a Brazilian wax? I've heard all kinds of things. Is it before of after that time of the month when it is the least painful? Anyone ever had one? Does it really hurt A LOT?

so when do just-born-babies start breathing?

i know that people can give birth in water and the baby won't inhale it and drowned... but does that mean you could just never bring the baby to the surface and it would still get oxygen through the umbilical cord?

Is it just me or was it hypocritical for the U.S. to show those fotos of Uday and Qusay after telling the Arab channel Al-Jazeera that the airing of a video tape - of the bodies wearing bloodstained camouflage uniforms and some appeared to have bullet wounds to the head - was a violation of the Geneva conventions?

If the number 666 appeared in an important number in your life (i.e. driver's license number, social security, phone number, etc.), would you demand a new/different one?

Do you like long (like, 50-item-plus) LJ surveys? I don't ... they take too long to fill out and I hardly ever finish reading ones other people post, cos they just get boring after a while.

If you do like them, why?

In college, if there was a class that:

*you wanted to take, but didn't really need, and didn't want to pay for
*fit into your schedule
*met in a room that holds hundreds
*you could drop in on without having to register

would you sneak in and learn for free?
