Age specific [Jul. 15th, 2003|12:18 am]
The Question Club

[mood |hopefulhopeful]

I'm writing something that involves a baby growing up but have next to no experience with kids. So I was wondering if ya'll could tell me about what ages you think a child might start doing these things:

1. Crawling, walking, talking (big important "firsts" like that)

2. Ask why their parents "look different". (different races)

3. Actually be able to speak coherently and somewhat intelligently. (We're not talking Einstein here, just stuff you can generally understand without asking a million times what they said.)

4. Start asking questions like why they don't have any grandparents, etc. (Both parents are orphans.)

I feel like an idiot for not knowing these things but I guess I really don't have any way to know them. I don't have any kids and I didn't even know my siblings when they were babies (step sibs). ARG!

THANKS muchly to all that can help!

All-Star Game [Jul. 15th, 2003|01:09 pm]

[mood |excitedexcited]

Are you going to watch the All-Star game tonight? (8 pm est.)

If yes, who are you rooting for, the NL or the AL?

Do you think that it's fair that whoever wins the game has home-field advantage in the World Series?

my answersCollapse )

What do you call it when someone uses things like 'you are so gay' or 'you retard'?

Action Method of HTML Forms [Jul. 15th, 2003|07:01 pm]
The Question Club
[mood |confusedconfused]

I'm fairly skilled with HTML, and recently, I've created my own form for a personal website, but to get the form to work, I need something to transfer the data from... well, data to text. From what I've learned myself, this would be a cgi-bin website address, but the host I'm using is free, and I'm fairly certain that it doesn't have one.

Apparenlty, it's supposed to look something like below:

[FORM action="website_address" method="post"]

I had considered that maybe an email host would have it, hotmail perhaps, or something else, but I really have no idea. I've looked around Google for a possible program or website that could transfer the data, but I couldn't find anything, and I think perhaps I'm searching for the wrong thing.

Does anyone know where I could find something or someplace to transfer the data? Or maybe an alternate way of sending this data in a readable form?

I'll love you forever!! ^___^

giving up a vice! [Jul. 15th, 2003|10:08 pm]

[mood |contemplativecontemplative]
[music |none]

For a little while now I've been thinkling of giving something up. to start with i will give whatever for a month.
what I intend to give up is one of the folowing.
1 sweets, crisps, and chocolate
2 any 2 of the above
3 meat
4 alcohol
or 5 tea

1 + 5 will for me be the most difficult, 3 will be difficult over a whole month, 4 will not be difficult ( except when out on the town) 2 I belive I would probably substitute 1 for the other 2 so in effect wouldn't be worth v. much as a challange

I haven't fully decided yet, but was wondering ( for someone who doesn't smoke or take drugs) what would you give up,and what would be the reason if any?
