How do you get rid of a kink in your neck - when no one is around to help massage it out?

If you have credit cards... do you use them then pay off the entire balance every month when the bill comes?

Do i have to use special soil for them, or can i use normal potting soil??

Bad Drivers...

Do you think it would be a good idea that in order to get a Driver's Licence everyone must also take an I.Q. test as well? Anyone without common sense would be banned from driving? Something like that? Suggestions?

Dieting... blech

I've decided I want to eat healthier. I'm going to try to cut back on my carb intake, and I was wondering if any of you have any advice.

I'm not going to be totally militant about this, otherwise I won't be able to stick with it, but I do want to learn how to eat healthier. I keep entirely too many carb laden snacks around - Oreos, cheetos, tortilla chips, bagels... and of course my main weaknesses, candy bars and ice cream.

Anyway, my questions-

Was it this community where there was a big debate about the atkins diet? Someone was pretty dead set against it wherever I read it. Does anyone have an opinion on this kind of low-carb diet? Like I said, I'm going for moderation. I just went grocery shopping, and it took me a freakin' hour (normal time 15 min. or so) because everything I grabbed had massive amounts of carbs in it. I figured that was the case, and that's why I'm looking to learn more about this.

Finally - what's are some good, healthy, low carb snacks that don't taste like they're healthy? lol know what I mean?

TIA...

Difficult happy fun question time...

I'm not even sure how to begin to describe my situation. :) I just moved into the dorm from a one-bedroom apartment, where I lived alone. I've been here a week now, and met a couple people, but I haven't made any friends yet. I spent all of my free time in the last week playing video games in my room by myself (which is what I did in my apartment), except for a few hours where I went to the reading room and watched sumo on satellite TV.

I'm 24, I've never had a serious girlfriend (or even more than a date.) Like I said, I live in the dorm, but they put me in the graduate section because of my age (for which I will specifically request otherwise in the fall), and I'm a freshman majoring in broadcasting.

I want to try and find people to play various team sports with, go to the gym with, do other random "friend" things with, and most importantly, a girlfriend. My problem is that I have no idea how to approach people (particularly girls.) I'm willing to join in whatever things other people would want to do, even if I didn't necessarily like them (the activities) at first, just as long as I can be around other people who want to have me around. I'm completely lost, and I have no idea how to get started.

What do I do?
