The Question Club
I'm not even sure how to begin to describe my situation. :) I just moved into the dorm from a one-bedroom apartment, where I lived alone. I've been here a week now, and met a couple people, but I haven't made any friends yet. I spent all of my free time in the last week playing video games in my room by myself (which is what I did in my apartment), except for a few hours where I went to the reading room and watched sumo on satellite TV.|
I'm 24, I've never had a serious girlfriend (or even more than a date.) Like I said, I live in the dorm, but they put me in the graduate section because of my age (for which I will specifically request otherwise in the fall), and I'm a freshman majoring in broadcasting.
I want to try and find people to play various team sports with, go to the gym with, do other random "friend" things with, and most importantly, a girlfriend. My problem is that I have no idea how to approach people (particularly girls.) I'm willing to join in whatever things other people would want to do, even if I didn't necessarily like them (the activities) at first, just as long as I can be around other people who want to have me around. I'm completely lost, and I have no idea how to get started.
What do I do?
