Why can't people use Google?

I'm not talking about y'all. I've actually been quite pleased that this community is mostly free of easily googlable searches.

Some other communities I belong to, which shall remain nameless, are constantly full of questions that could be answered by just using Google.

My favorite Wonder of Google story goes as follows: I was at the libary in the video section, and another woman came up to me and described a movie to me. She knew who the actors were and the main plot points; she just couldn't remember the title, and the librarians had never heard or it. "Use Google," said I. Then I had to explain how.

She ended up finding the title of the movie and came back to thank me and we got to chatting. Turned out she was a federal judge, and if you're not a little frightened that a federal judge had to be taught how to use Google by a law school drop-out, you should be.

I don't think it's raw technophobia or incompetence. I am pretty incompetent when it comes to computers. But Google is so easy! So why?

New to the community via my husband

Okay, I just heard a song on the radio by the Thorns, which a collaboration of Matthew Sweet, Pete Droge, and Shawn Mullins. Then I heard a Travelling Wilbories song (??) you know with Roy Oribison, Tom Petty, and others. My question is: are there any other instances where established musicians join forces to create a new album? Hip-hop songs which "feature" someone don't count, neither do collaborations like "We Are the World." I'm interested in people who have come together to create a whole new band with their own album

This is weird, I know.

But if you happen to be a medium sized person, say you wear medium sized pants, would you ming measuring the circumference of the part of your leg just under your knee? the part under your knee, and just above your calf muscle.

I'm making these leg warmer type things and I keep making them too small. I'm trying to make a medium size, but they keep ending up fitting me, and I'm very tiny.

I know its weird, but any help would be appreciated!

In Oprah's video Make the Connection she recites a poem by a female poet about looking at herself in a full length mirror and having certain feelings "comin' on, comin' on". Does anyone kow the name of this poem and who wrote it?
