Pete and Pete and silly shoes.

I've wanted a pair of those converse shoe thingys ever since I was little.. But now that I've finally found a pair in my size AND I have the money for them, eeeveryone wears them.

So, should I fullfill a childhood dream spawned by too much Pete and Pete; or stay away from the masses until I won't lose my own feet in a crowd?

An unusual question:

Anytime I lay down, I always make sure I'm not laying on my hair. Without thinking, I just run my hands upward from my neck to get it out of the way. Does anyone else do this or is it just me?

Seeking: Goddess of the Rain oil lamp

Hello, all.

I'm searching for a Goddess of the Rain oil lamp. These were very popular during my childhood (cough, yeah, the Seventies, I'll hit you with my cane if you call me old).

It's a hanging lamp, with a woman figure seated on a bench, sometimes surrounded by a garden, with streams of rain (oil) coming down around her.

I'd prefer a new one. There are a few offered for sale on EBay, but the quality doesn't attract.

If you could provide me a website or you know someone who'd like to sell theirs, any help would be great. Thanks.

DVD players

I have InterVideo WinDVD, and I'm having a problem with the screencapture feature. Up until today, it worked fine, but when I started the player and tried to take a screencapture tonight, nothing happened. I was using the P key to do it, so I tried looking at the function menu on the DVD player, to click on the screencapture icon itself, but the icon wasn't highlighted, as if it couldn't be used. I thought maybe it was a problem with the DVD I was using, so I put in a different one, one that I've taken captures from before, just to check it out, and the capture function still wouldn't work.

Does anybody know what the problem might be, or a way to fix it?

Anyone know what's up with track 13 on John Mayer's cd Room For Squares???

It's like... a second long or something. Even on the cd it goes from track 12 to 14, with no mention of 13. Could it be a superstition thing?
