So, how do you guys feel about the possibility that the United States may be going to war with Iraq in an attempt to remove Saddam Hussein from power?
Currently, I am against such a war, because I believe that America does not have the right to barge in, remove the current leader (although he's a bad one), and establish a puppet government in place of the current government. I also have a complete lack faith in the president's ability as a leader and diplomat, but that's only part of the reason.
I haven't completely researched the pros to such a millitary action, so my opinion may change, once I gather more facts.
Here's a nice open ended question:
What is the single most useful, yet not widely known, website you visit?
I'm trying to find some good sites with a "cool!!" factor for a small collection of useful links I want to put on the back of my business cards.
A couple of my initial choices:
Google (it's widely known, yes, but I think a lot of my target market might not know about it)
time.gov <--- almost like an atomic clock in your browser
Stuff like that... got any other good ones?
Tell me, why do people say "Let's blow this popsicle stand?" I mean, where the hell did that come from? I, for one, have never seen, nor even heard of a popsicle stand, except in the instance of that overused expression. Lemonade stand, okay. Hot Dog stand, sure..Were popsicle stands once popular?
Okay, here's the situation:
I had a 2.99 at the end of the spring semester at the community college I've been attending. I wanted to get a 3.0 so I could get a scholarship at the Tech college I'll be going to in a few weeks. I took a summer course, did the work, went to all the classes, and was told by the instructor I recieved a B+. That bumps me up to at least a 3.0.
The problem is, when I went to check my grade online, there was no grade up. No credits, no grades, nothing. My friend has this problem with two of her classes too. I don't know if this is official or not, but either way I have no idea what my GPA is because they haven't put my grade up. It was supposed to be up July 25th when the semester ended. I've sent them a VERY stern e-mail telling them that I want my grade ASAP, and that there is no excuse for this incompetence.
So, my questions are... If I don't get my scholarship because of these morons, can I sue? Do I have a good case?
Also, has something like this ever happened to anyone else? Care to give me some advice on how to handle the situation?
Hmm, I'm new, so here's my attempt at a good boggling question:
Why aren't there ever any cute pizza delivery guys like in the movies? All my pizza guys are either big hairy dudes or old scary dudes with big glasses.
