Pretty long question.

Me and a friend of mine are interested in doing volunteer work in a third world country, combating poverty etc. He's 21 and I'm 15 (nearly 16) - I'd have to wait until I was 18 and had finished my A levels before I could do anything - but having looked into any possible ideas for the future, we've hit a bit of an obstacle.

We're not American and so are not allowed to join the Peace Corps, and the EU equivalent, VSO, is asking for people with a LOT of experience and qualifications, which is fair enough, but he doesn't have much of that and at this moment in time, neither do I. We want to go out there for the experience and to help out and give something back to the world and the such. Does anyone know of any other ways we can do this and get out there?
