A friend of mine told me recently that she had heard (I don't know where) a story about a man in Toronto who had attempted suicide by either jumping in front of a train, or lying on the tracks, or something along those lines. The story went that the man was pinned by the wheels (or whatever they might be called, I don't know), pretty much held together by the train, and survived, as long as the train stayed where it was. Apparently, his family members were contacted and told they had an hour to get there and see him before he would die. The saddest part of this story, whether it be true or not, was that the man realized he regretted his decision when his family arrived.
Now that I've typed this out, it really, really sounds like an urban legend, but who knows? Horrible things happen in the subway and sort of get swept under the rug.
Has anyone else heard this story, and does anyone know if it's true?
