for those of you who read on electronic devices

my parents do a lot of reading, and get their books from the library. our library has a lot of ebooks in various formats, and some books are only available there as ebooks. and lately, the *new* ebooks have started coming available at the library before the paper versions of the books are in. so my mom is considering getting an ereader. they're in their 70's, and are decently tech-savvy.

i have an old kindle paperwhite and i love it. but its the only ereader i know anything about.

for those of you who read on electronic devices - what device do you read on? what kind of ereader? do you like it? if you use your phone, what app do you use?
