I'm teaching a friend who has never liked vegetables how to like them. About other people's vegetable offerings (including restaurants) he has responded "slimy" (spinach), "stinky" (broccoli), "tastes like grass" (all salad greens). Lately we've established that he doesn't hate carrots, as long as they're cooked expertly, but nothing else has been a hit.
