I have a 2011 17 inch Macbook Pro.
It's my favorite computer that I've ever owned, and I don't want to give it up ever. However, this is the second time it's begun to fail. The first time was about 3 years ago. I got it repaired (the video card failed) and it was not a cheap repair. This time, I'm assuming it's the video card again or the harddrive that's failing. Yes, I backed it up recently, just in case. Apple no longer makes the 17 inch MacBooks, though, and I love the enormous screen for using Photoshop and watching movies. I don't want to get a new computer, even though it's three generations old now because I love this one so much ha.
What's the last major upgrade you've done on the technology in your life? Were you sad to let your old machines go or were you ready to move on to bigger and better things?
