the future of Livejournal

I just wondered what the people on one of LJ's most active communities think about the future of LJ. Do you think it can recover its popularity? Would you want it to? What do you think LJ could possibly do to achieve this?

I was an active member on LJ from 2007-2010, on Fall Out Boy and Harry Potter related communities, and I met so many incredible people. I truly think this site still stands apart from any of the new social media/networking sites, even though I switched over to them and abandoned LJ myself as well.

I'm kinda hoping for an LJ renaissance. I can't explain why exactly LJ is so ideal to me as a platform, but I love it so much. That said, it's just not as fun with such a small user base. What do you all think?
