If you're emailing someone to whom you've never spoken before, and you don't have a surname (or is it sirname??) but you do have their first name, is it better to put "Dear Bob/Mary," or "Dear Sir or Madam," at the beginning of the email?
(I got the person's email address which is firstname@jobplace.com but his last name is not visible anywhere to me and I don't want to make a mistake, as this will be a job application for a job I would both love and excel at, and I'm overthinking this for sure, but I'd rather make the best impression possible)
Dk/Dc: where is your favourite place to travel to?
