After taking Wednesday and Thursday off (I was in too much pain to leave the house for anything other than visiting the doctor for a new inhaler, going to the hospital for a blood test, and getting an X-ray), I went back to work today as I am not feeling too bad. However, my manager called me into the office to tell me that, since I am still on a probationary period, they cannot afford to employ someone who takes this much time off work. They're very sorry bla bla, not my fault, excellent worker but y'know we do have to run a business bla bla...
Anyway, my question is: What the hell do I do now?? I need a new job obviously, but when I send off my CV do I write about the job at all? I have gained some good skills and experience that I did not have at my last job so I don't want to write it off completely, but there isn't really any good way to say that I was fired for taking so much time off. Even if I am completely rid of the illness by the time I start getting interviews, I don't want them to think that I'm chronically ill - or that there was actually some other reason for being fired. If I pretend that I never started this job, there would be a good gap in the CV since I left my previous job two months ago.
I feel so lost; I can't believe I'm actually unemployed. :(
