If so, do you think taking advil helps with your jaw issues, other than for the pain?
I've had a jaw that clicks/pops on the right side for as long as I can remember (I'm 30) and have never had any pain or problems. Then all of a sudden a week ago, the opposite side, the left, started hurting, mostly a mild ache that escalates to a stabbing pain if I move my bottom jaw in certain directions, but also a slight feeling of stiffness.
I ask because I don't want to take advil just for the pain - it's not unbearable and I don't like to medicate if I don't need to. But it's been a week now and this is getting old, and if there's a chance advil will help end this episode generally by contributing its anti-infalmmatory properties to the game, I'll gladly start popping 4 advil at a time (the equivalent of prescription strength)...
