I have a big jar full of loose change that I've gathered over roughly a year's time. It's now full, and although it's not a huge amount of money (just shy of £20), it'll still make a nice addition to my bank account.

I asked my bank for some sorting bags on several occasions, but they've never got any available to hand out, so I can't pre-sort the cash according to what the bags are meant to hold.

I don't know what I should do with it though. If I took the jar down to my bank tomorrow, would they refuse to take the money? I want this jar empty so I can start refilling it.
