Also, I don't have a GP for myself and I'm seeing a midwife for this pregnancy but I am wanting the flu shot for myself too. I see that Walgreens and the like advertise that you can get your flu shots there; do I just walk in? And is that just as good as it being administered by a dr. or nurse in an office?
This will be my first flu shot ever. My son is old enough to pick it up in activities (or me, as I'm often involved) and I'm about to have a newborn that I definitely don't want exposed. Do you usually get one?
ETA: I'm going to host Christmas at my house. My infant will be about 4 weeks old. Is it rude to suggest family members consider getting the flu vaccine before they come (they'll all have to fly so will be all over crowded airports and stuff)?
ETA2: My son's pediatrician just gave me a shot too.
