Photoshop Elements Question

I've been using Photoshop Elements for years with no problems. I mostly use it for making slide shows with music of trip pictures.  I would now like to be able to add video clips to these slide shows.

Early versions of this program included the ability to add video clips to the slide shows. Now it appears that you need the Premiere Elements program to get this to work. Unfortunately, I cannot use the Premiere Elements video program as some audio programs I use for recording appear to interfere with the program loading.

Is there a way to convert my video clips into a format that Photoshop Elements will allow me to use in a slide show? (I don't need to edit the clips in Photoshop, I've always used Free Studio for this).

Alternatively, Is there another program that I can move my edited pictures to that will allow me to make a slide show that includes video clips and a sound track? It doesn't have to be anything fancy, but the ability to quickly reorder slides, insert blank slides with text and drag and drop audio would be nice.

(cross posted to ask me anything)
