Anyway, it's not like it's my place to have reason to be vehemently opposed to this. If they're happy, whatever, it's not like it's any skin off my nose and there are circumstances where I think it's perfectly sensible to think of one's unmarried but long-term partner as their "husband" or "wife", say if you've been together for a decade or something.
But I have to be honest, I do find it sort of weird, maybe even creepy, just because they've been together so short a time. And I don't think my cousin thinks of himself as Serena's "husband" or at least I've never heard him say as much.
Would you find this peculiar, too? How would you feel if your partner of a year referred to themselves as your husband/wife, even if they were not (in an official capacity)?
