I recently got my hair examined in my salon (they were selling a product, but I got a free blow-out if I complied). The woman said I have an oily scalp, but dry ends, and said that I was washing my hair too much, which caused an over-production of the oil and the dryness of the strands.
I wash my hair every day, but I'd like to see what happens when I wash my hair less.
This may sound stupid, but how do you wash your hair less? Do you let it get wet in the shower, or do you keep it from getting wet at all? Does conditioner count?
I know in the past that if I got my hair wet without shampooing it, it would get flat and greasy, so that's what's always scared me off of the prospect.
