At the post office, I am shipping two packages. I tell the postal clerk I want to ship the first package first class. The guy next to me is arguing frantically with another postal worker about a different register giving him a different shipping price. The clerk that was helping me begins talking to him saying it may be a faulty register.
She turns her attention back to me and takes my second package. I tell her I'd like to ship it priority with delivery confirmation. She takes the package and weighs it. The guy then tells his clerk that he can't fucking wait all day. And the clerk responds, you either fucking wait or I can't help you.
My clerk slaps the postage on my package and says, this is first class, right? I realize it is very busy in the post office and politely correct her, I want priority with delivery confirmation. And she gives me a funny oops look and then takes the postage off. So she labels my package correctly and rings me up. Then she says, "And now I have to void this extra charge because you had me shipping it first class. There we go."
Really? Would you be extremely annoyed as well? A smart ass comment ON TOP of not paying attention. Also, as much of a douchebag that guy was, does a customer service representative have any merit in using equally offensive language to a customer?
