The majority of the jobs I applied for are online applications. Other than a "hey, we got your app, we'll call you" email, I haven't heard much from a lot of them.
My fiance said "go out and pester them until they give you an interview", but I highly doubt the locations at the local level have a whole lot to say about the hiring process until they're told to call people in for interviews from whoever collects the applications.
My question is: is he right? Would it help me to go into the local store of a nationwide chain and say "hey, turkeys, I applied here, gimmie a job"? Or would I be wasting my time and theirs?
