the duggar girls perm their hair! did you realize this?

i posted before saying that one of them said "our dad likes long hair, so we try to keep our hair long" and that it creeped me out. somehow i'm even more creeped out knowing that they perm it. and i thought their curls were naturally really pretty :(

do you have a favorite duggar quote? video? macro?

i like the clown car one.

i don't even know, it just totally weirds me out, hahah. i think the girls do it because they like it, but i feel like it's all "DADDY LIKES US TO LOOK THIS WAY. DADDY LIKES US TO ALL LOOK ALIKE. OHHHH DADDY."

They're fucking creepy and that woman is constantly pumping out kids because god hasn't like told her to stop. I guess she just expects that one day she'll stop getting pregnant.. or her uterus turns inside out.. or they start their own city.

... I just don't see the creepiness. Sure, it's not the lifestyle most of would pick but it works for them. They have everything they need, they seem happy enough, and they have no debts of any kind. It's not like they can't afford the kids, so who cares? After watching the show, I just don't get all the hate.

IAWTC. Not how I'd want to live my life, but they live healthily, they live debt free, it's kind of commendable. It's more than can be said for most Americans.

Also, I was aware. I saw part of the show once.

I guess it's creepy that they're doing it for their dad, but I know my best friend was afraid her dad would be mad when she cut off her long hair... I don't know why, but I never found that creepy.

I wasn't aware there was any one other than the clown car one! I hope someone posts some.

It's not that long hair is strange it that they are doing it for daddy. Daddy thinks it's sexy.

I think it's more common than you think, that girls keep their hair long for their parents instead of themselves. At least 2 of my friends did; one was actually forbidden to get her's cut short.

I watched that show for the first time tonight; I actually liked it. Sure, the way they do things is odd by my standards, but it seems to be working for them.

I saw that episode and it really put me off that they permed their hair! I thought it was natural and so pretty and I was slightly jealous (even though my hair is naturally curly). However, it creeped me out that they "keep it long for daddy".

Ooh, my god, I was just watching an episode, and the mother was talking about how she gets all the boys to go outside and do lawn work, while the girls stay inside and cook and clean.

The interviewer asked her if she thought she might have been enforcing gender stereotypes, and she said, "Oh, I think there are some gender stereotypes that you can't get around."

I had to change the channel. I can't even...I mean...just...what.

My face constantly goes all D-: when I'm watching their show. How about that one episode when the oldest son said he and his finacee were ~saving their first kiss for marriage.~ I just don't understand any of it.
