Does anyone here still wear ties to work?|
I haven't in a long time. But I would wear one to an interview.
Husband does, but he's in banking. But up until he got this job a couple of years ago, he never wore a tie to work ever.
I used to work in a bank. I think ties were commonplace.
my partner (male) does sometimes. he only wears them on super formal occassions at work however. i do see a fair few men wear ties for work, but i would think they are in the minority (business casual doesn't seem to include ties, or if they are higher up, to show the seniority). and i've only ever seen a handful of women wearing ties for work (scarf's seem to be a lot more common).
I haven't really sen women with them. Perhaps they don't work so well with boobs.
My workplace is super-casual, so no one here does. T-shirts and jeans are the standard.
To an interview, though? Yes. As a girl, I don't wear ties, but even when I interviewed here (knowing the casual atmosphere) I still wore a suit.
My boyfriend wears "sport" ties to work on occasion. He's a bartender.
Our detectives, captains and chief wear ties when they are plain clothes.
Most of the dudes I know wear ties to their jobs. I also worked at this one restaurant where everyone had to wear a tie, even the ladies
My workplace requires ties on male employees.
When I worked in an office, all of the guys wore ties. At the place I've been interviewing at, which is an insurance company, most of the guys wore ties there.
I'm about to enter the legal field, where male lawyers, at least in court, all still wear ties. Outside of court, though, different offices are more or less casual, though ties are still a given at major firms.
my husband does and my male co-workers do. we are both teachers.
I sometimes wear a tie, especially if I have an important meeting.
