My first job was at a barn, so yeah, any common horse related injury has pretty much happened to me.
I've fallen, but never have had a horse intentionally remove me. I've had some mishaps driving horse and carriage also.
I can't recall specific thoughts. Usually while driving horses I worried about my passengers in the carriage.
I was bit by a horse and I once vomited on a horse but I don't think I was every forcibly removed from a horse by said horse
"Horses are fucking assholes."
Yep, he chucked me off and I landed on a waist high rock. My first thought was probably "HOLY FUCKING OW."
oooooooops sorry didn't mean to respond to you

Yes, I was about 10 so I don't remember my exact thought but it was probably something like "oh crap, I hope he doesn't step on me and I don't die."
My horse would be running and she would see a pretty patch of grass and stop dead in her tracks. I have flown over her head many times when she had done that. My first thought was....this is going to hurt, this was before all the safety stuff they use now like helmets and back supports.
a few times. i actually laughed every time, i was never hurt and always thought tumbling to the ground a good experience.
A horse shied away from a snake and I feel off, dislocating my hip when I was 11. I was terrified I was paralyzed in just that one leg... lol
Yes when I used to take horse back riding lessons back in school. I remember hoping he doesn't step on me
Hilarious! I started laughing as soon as I hit the mud. I was in riding lessons my whole life and we were demonstrating to the parents and family how to ride bareback. I have no balance. As soon as we started a trot I slid off, landed in the dirt and began giggling to myself because it was in front of so many people. You could hear the crowd gasp as I hit the ground...all except my sister who was also laughing!
only in water. i took her into a damb/river type thing to wash her on a hot day (she would have had nearly to the top of her back in water), she rolled on me. i dont know if it was because she had to start swimming, or if she just really liked the water, or what it was (i would have been 8 at the time, i dont remember the situations properally), but i remember thinking "she is going to drown me!". lucky i was riding bare back (just using her mane and touch/balance to direct her). i came up from the water laughing and swimming away from her so she woudlnt' crush me. my uncle had just told me that she would do it, but i was like "ahh nar, she wouldn't hurt me!!" i didn't have enough healthy fear back then :P.
When I was 8, I fell off a horse and broke my arm. It turned out that there was a split in the strap, which broke when we started going faster. My dad was there and I walked over to him and said, "Daddy, I think my arm's broken." As my arm dangled.
I really don't remember what my first thought was, though. It didn't hurt until he scooped me up and took me to the hospital.
"I hope I'm as far away from the arena wall as I think I am."
