TQC - I just went back onto taking the birth control pill. It is making me unbelievably hungry for junk food. I gave myself this weekend to indulge slightly - but as of next week, I need to get back onto my good regime. Do you have any tricks for fending off the hunger? All week, despite eating my usual (pretty good) diet, I have been so hungry.

Drink a glass of water and wait for a half hour when you get the urge.

I do that usually anyway :( I always drink water when I'm hungry. It's a really weird sort of hunger, it's almost clawing my insides for sugar and fats :(

That's exactly the type of hunger I get, and have gotten since I've had kids. It's almost like pregnancy (and the resulting hormones) changed something inside me.

Water doesn't help. More fruits and veggies do not help. More protein doesn't help. Breads, especially chewy breads... help a LOT, but... yeah, it's bread, so it's not that great for the waistline.

I wish I had more advice. I can't bear to be hungry now. It's like some kind of living thing in my gut, and I don't know how to turn it off. Hormones suck. :(

Ooh, I get that once in a blue moon and it's the worst. No matter how much I eat it still gnaws at me.

Drink lots of water--if you cant stomach water then tea.
Schedule the times you eat at--allow yourself say, half an apple at 1:30, then the rest at 2:00pm. Dont restrict, but keep a schedule--that helps me a lot when im super craving.
Exercise also helps me a lot.

The schedule is such a good idea. I always eat an apple so quickly and then want another one. I'm going to try slowing myself down to see if that helps.

Me too! It sounds stupid to say like, eat a quarter of an apple every 15 min but slowing down really helps you feel when youre full. Sometimes ill eat like 4 pieces of pizza then later be like ugh why did i do that...

My work has a lot of junk food at it so i use it to mitigate eating too much chocolate/candy. I save "Ok...at 2pm im allowed to have some chocolate..." then 2pm gets here im like "well its already 2, just wait until 2:30..." and so on and so on. Of course you need to treat yourself once in a while but it does help me ;)

YES. My little fangirl/shipper heart exploded with joy. Tomorrow's episode is going to break my heart, though!
