Have you seen these ads?

They are for "intimate wipes." Bigger pics seen here.

Thoughts?

I think they are kinda gross in that they are implying that genitals are inherently dirty.

i totally agree with that it's gross to imply that genitals are dirty in the first place, but from an advertising standpoint the audience they're trying to reach is people who already think of sex/genitals as dirty. this ad campaign isn't really geared toward people who are just looking for an after-sex towel.

they seem pretty spot on for what they're trying to sell without relying on overtly sexual imagery or plain text.
i think the doorknob one is the worst because doorknobs in general are dirty. and a polished knob does not mean what they think it means. though the imagery is more sexual with the bed in the background, i think the other ones work better, imo.
pretty bold, i haven't seen anything this clever in awhile when it comes to these sorts of products. trojan is just in your face bangin'. this has a subtle undertone and probably appeals to its audience with the slang/humor bits.

This! I love the wordplay and the wit. I don't feel uncomfortable or dirty looking at these the way I feel after some other ads/commercials.

What does a polished knob mean?

polishing your knob can be a euphemism for jacking off.

Yeah, I guess it works for either. Although I hate penises referred to as knobs.... it gives me all kind of revolving visuals lol.

i think it's a British thing (way of refering to a man's penis) could be wrong tho cause I'm not British :3

These give me a giggle. I like the covert sexiness about it. Less in-your-face than other ads. Nice change for media.

I'm with you. Are genitals "dirty" in the sense that they're bad things that need to be kept under wraps? No. But do they get kinda funky smelling? Yep.

My pov is that if you think you could use a wipe to freshen up, you can get your ass in the shower.

As for the people upset by it implying genitals are dirty: skinny jeans in the summer!!

kinda on the fence about the implication that genitals are dirty, the ad says for before and after sex, so at that rate it could be implying that sex is dirty.

in any case, i understand the need for the product and i think its a pretty clever marketing campaign.

I love it and might purchase the product. I didn't take the ad to imply genitals are dirty in a shameful way just as I don't take ads for body wash to imply my body is dirty. Any part of the body, genitals included, can get sweaty and release body odor. There are times I know I am about to give or receive oral sex and while I/my partner have showered that morning I understand genitals squished into a pair of tight jeans all day in the hot sun might not be smelling or tasting in a way that is 100% fantastic.

These are awesome. I don't get offended when people refer to genitals as being dirty...it's whatever.

They're super funny and witty and I get the point, so yes to them.
