The only thing I'd want a series on Robert's rebellion for is to have confirmation of what happened in the Tower of Joy wrt Lyanna's passing (as in what was the promise Ned made, and is she Jon's mother?)

Yes. I think it's been clear that GRRM has been dragging his feet with this series. I think the pressure to get it done has led to resentment, and the last two books have just not been nearly as good as the first three.

Pretty sure that stuff has to come out before the conclusion of the series anyhow. Within the next two ASOIAF books.

Also lol at the inflated number of people complaining that the series isn't finished yet. I've been reading it since 2000. You get used to the waiting.
