VIDEO I absolutely love everything about Idina Menzel. She is flawless. Completely flawless.
yyyep. lovelovelovelove. she's a life ruiner. <3
And she's married to Taye Diggs. Lucky bitch! Ugh I love her. She is my total girl crush. Her voice is breathtaking.
Yes, yes, YES! I saw her live with the Boston Pops a few years ago and she was A-MA-ZING!
that is a gorgeous song. :D
well the first one that popped into my head was "Music of the Night" from Phantom of the Opera but I love so many.
take me or leave me from rent! i love the movie version because it just sounds "prettier"... i prefer idina/tracie thoms orrrrr nichole scherzinger/tracie thoms. not a huge fan of eden espinoza...
I'm working on Somewhere That's Green from Little Shop right now and it's the most adorable song ever. So I'll go with that.
Dem dat plants it is soon forgotten. Ouch.
This is a
good great one. FTFY. :) Edited at 2013-02-02 04:50 am (UTC)
that is tooo hard
this is one of the funniest (Megan Hilty is the best Glinda)
(Start at 2:45)
Nice choice. This is Babs making herself herself.
yep, this one's fantastic.
I want to say something from Les Mis but I could never pick just one so instead I'm just gonna go with Defying Gravity as well
I love way too many to list but lately I've been listening to this one. This climax is amazing.
VIDEO I also like these: VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO VIDEO I kill this song in auditions, though: VIDEO Edited at 2013-02-02 04:54 am (UTC)
"You Don't Know This Man" is one of my faves
It's a tie. Either:
VIDEO or VIDEO As bizarre of a combination of that is.
Master of the House is the only Les Mis song I really like.
Trouble in River City is my favorite because it shows how politicians and business manipulate the public. A quick read of any newspaper shows it to be a Fundamental Truth.
Music Man is such a fabulous movie.
that master of the house version makes me so happy
I love Chess.
I also adore Fiddler on the Roof. And West Side Story. And Into the Woods.
"Epiphany" from Sweeney Todd.
Or, "Everything You Ever" from Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog.
I second "everything you ever"
the Johanna Quartet from Sweeney Todd is one of the most perfect songs ever written for a musical
God, I don't know if I can choose just one musical to give a song from.
VIDEO I freakin love For Good, especially the Idina and Kristin version. Defying Gravity is my second favorite from Wicked. From RENT it would probably either be La Vi Bo Em or Seasons of Love. From Les Mis I love Do You Hear the People Sing?, On My Own and I Dreamed a Dream. From Phantom of the Opera I love Think of Me, Phantom of the Opera, Point of No Return, Music of the Night and All I Ask of You. Though I'm mostly biased to the Emmy Rossum movie. I've seen it on stage as well, but I saw the movie before that.
I really like this one too. :D
VIDEO ETA: im not crazy for this version, but i fell in love with the song when i saw it live. Edited at 2013-02-02 09:50 pm (UTC)
The Ballad of Czolgosz (Assassins)
The Silver Miners' Tale (The American Astronaut)
