Pasta, eggs, milk, bread, butter, chocolate chips (I bake a lot) fruit, veggies, chicken and fish.

How there are only two lines open and a ton of people waiting.

this is also my pet peeve. i just got back from the grocery store not too long ago (late night pregnancy craving) and there was a line of probably 20 people in 3 different lines, fucking ridiculous. and it is like that ALL THE TIME!

Publix stuffed chicken with broccoli, Publix spring water, Pepsi max, grapes, parm/romano cheese, apple slices, milk, chicken, steak, butter

Slow people that block the whole aisle with their cart, or stand in front of the exact place I need to grab something from for 10 mins.

I like that you mentioned Publix items ;)

2. Eggs
3. Bell peppers
4. Onions
5. Hot sauce
6. Peanut butter
7. Chips and salsa
8. Chicken breast
9. Mushrooms
10. Pita bread

I just feel like everyone is so quiet and passive aggressive at the grocery store for some reason. Like no one says "excuse me" or "thank you", they just move around everyone else as awkwardly as possible.

a girl literally tripped over me trying to walk behind me in an aisle 30 mins ago...dude i would have been happy to move 2 inches forward if you'd said something, i didn't see you there :/

milk, eggs, whole wheat pasta, salad greens, salsa, lemons, chicken, cereal, onions, orange juice

10. cheese

Empty shelves. Especially in my hometown some of them are awful. I'd swear off the one nearest me but I'd end up going there after a while when I just needed one or two items. Then they end up being out of something ridiculous like chicken breasts or ground beef or onions and I swear off again until the next time I "just need one item" and don't want to drive anywhere further.

bread, eggs, broccoli, peanut butter, cereal, baby carrots, dill pickles, chocolate chips, tofu, pasta

people who don't know how to use the self checkout and hold the line up.

Rice, chicken, almond milk, bananas, berries, apples, spinach, snow peas, tomatoes, potatoes.

When people change their mind about an item and leave it wherever they feel like, it only bothers me when the item should be refrigerated and the person just couldn't be bothered putting it into one.

that's a good one. and then you look at it sitting there on a shelf somewhere and wonder if some employee will just pick it up and stick it back in the right place no matter how warm it is ... or if you've picked up something that was sitting out warm for hours!

6. mushrooms (brown)

I hate when people leave garbage in the aisles on shelves, like nearly empty coffee cups.

Cilantro, tomatoes, milk, bananas, jalapeños, cucumbers, apples, lettuce, eggs, onions.

Certainly, I buy a lot of other things, too, but those are things I buy in bulk so I don't buy them very often.

1 Milk
2 Bananas
3 Pineapple
4 Orange juice

My meat department manager named one of our carts after my assistant grocery manager because it tries to go the opposite direction of where it it's being pushed :)

Oatmeal, soy milk, OJ, broccoli, carrots, clementines (currently), garlic, almond milk, canned beans, pasta.

My preferred grocery store is really bad about making sure there's a price tag for everything. Like, almost every shopping visit, there's something I decide not to buy 'cause I can't figure out how much it costs. I love the store other than that, but it's quite bad.

A lot of times we have kids who like to push the price tags down the shelf and it doesn't get fixed until we block the store during the night. During those times some tags fall and are lost forever. Pretty annoying on our end too :)

When customers sit something they don't want on a random shelf especially if it's perishable and especially if it's right by my register. I mean I know you may be embarrassed but I won't scream at you or beat you for deciding not to get whatever.
Customers who open something then get a new unopened box because that other one is open, duh motherfucker you just opened it.
Eating produce without paying for it. We don't give samples, you were stealing.
Customers who get food from the deli and then eat it without paying.
People who want to leave my line to get something when there is a line and I'm almost done checking their items out.
People who put their items on the belt haphazardly or super slowly.
When customers don't greet me back or even say thanks to me. I know this is my job but it wouldn't kill you to be friendly.
When people make dumb jokes and expect me to laugh. Trust me, I've heard that joke or one of the variations at least once a day for nearly 4 years. It's not getting any funnier.

Chicken, bananas, grapes, apple slices, cereal, frozen veggies, spinach, onions, pork roast, and almond milk.

People block the aisle with their cart and don't move it when they see it's in the way.

With those who block the aisle, I'll add to that with people who run into each other and block both sides of the aisle while talking.

Eggs, bacon, bread, shallots, potatoes, milk, cheese (usually ricotta, gruyere on occasion), potato chips (Cape Cod BBQ or go home), grapes, and lettuce.

When you find a line with a bagger because you're lazy and then for some reason they hop over to another one. Kills me every time.

Bananas, berries (all kinds), frozen berries, tomatoes, pineapple, watermelon, avocado.
I eat an 80% raw vegan diet so this is mostly what I live off of, and I buy large amounts from wholesalers to save money.

in no order:

1. ramen noodles
2. eggs
3. milk
4. cereal
5. coffee
6. sweetener(either Splenda or the Publix brand)
7. sriracha
8. tea bags
9. salad fixings?(mostly green blends)
10. yogurt

Mine is as a stock clerk perspective. When customers put perishable items on shelving and leave it to go bad. In general putting something somewhere where it doesn't belong(bring it up front we will put it up) is annoying, but the day before yesterday I found STEAKS in a shopping basket placed on the bottom shelf of the dry cat food. What a waste of money :( Makes the prices go up too in the long run.

in no particular order- nonfat lactaid, yogurt, flavored water, morningstar sausage patties, spinach, fish, onions, garlic, melon, oranges

people who block aisles with their carts, people that stop right in the middle of a high traffic aisle to look at their list/coupons for 10 minutes totally ruining the flow of people, people who do not know how to use self check out lanes

1) broccoli
2) apples
3) orange juice
4) bread
5) pasta sauce
6) coke
7) water jugs
8) microwave pancakes, because i am lazy in the morning and they are tasty
9) goldfish crackers
10) some kind of cheese

slow wandering oblivious people who manage to have their carts in everyone's way
people who barge around corners (i swear grocery stores need traffic lights)
kids and toddlers who are wandering completely unattended, getting in the way (i had one kid walking along dragging her hand on the freezer edge and she walked right up to me and squeezed into the inch between me and the freezer, forcing me to step back in shock, and kept right on going - mom was pushing the cart a couple of feet beside her and never said a word to the kid or to me)
skinny aisles - no grocery store has an aisle big enough for a cart on either side and a person to pass through. hell, most of them don't even have room for two carts to pass each other.

OMG, kids are another one. A few years back when those heelies were all the rage, kids would skate through the store in them and knock into everything and everyone. Also screaming kids piss me off, as do the oblivious parents.

Yeah, this is why I DON'T have kids.

Kale, eggs, bacon, lamb, chicken, cilantro, canned tomatoes with green chilies, Against the Grain gluten-free pizza shells, chard and fresh fruit of some type.

People with carts who run into their friends, and they stand facing each other, one on each side of the aisle and chat. No matter how many times you say excuse me will they move or even acknowledge that you're trying to get by. Also, not so fresh fish - I live in freaking Massachusetts in an oceanside town, you should be able to carry fresh fish.

kashi golean

hummus or eggplant dip
greek yogurt
bread
cheese
raisins
frozen blueberries

I hate everyone who doesn't return their shopping cart to an appropriate location, and people who leave garbage in their carts, and people who make no effort to stay out of other people's way (I shop in a few stores that are always PACKED and navigating around people is a pain in the ass), and people who use hand baskets and when they get to the checkout they just set the whole basket on the conveyor belt instead of unpacking it. assholes, all of them.
