My dad wants to go to a movie with me. His favorite genre is action.|
Think he'd prefer Zero Dark Thirty, Jack Reacher or Django Unchained?
Django just because it was so good. I think Jack Reacher is the most true action out of those though.
Debating whether he'd like the Tarantino style. Hmm.
Has he ever seen one before? People usually have pretty strong feelings on Tarantino.
1. Jack Reacher
2. Zero Dark Thirty (the whole movie's supposed to be excellent, by the way)
3. Django Unchained
Jack Reacher - my Dad loved it. Zero Dark Thirty is not really that much action, only really the end. It's really dark and disturbing.
Zero Dark thirty is 90% build up 10% action. You don't even see the seal team until the last 20 minutes of a nearly 3 hour film. Personally, I was very underwhelmed by it.
Action? Probably Jack Reacher. Seems like your typical mindless action movie.
I haven't seen any of them but I've read some of the Jack Reacher books and I really like them.
If it were my dad, he'd probably like Jack Reacher the most. Zero Dark Thirty would probably piss him off if it were in any way 'wrong' (retired Air Force officer who served in Desert Storm) and I know he doesn't like Tarantino films. I saw Jack Reacher and it was full of asskicking.
(I've seen all three, Reacher is the one I'd take my dad to.)
Another for Django. Both my wife and I loved it, and we're old.
