Best Disney movie?

I say the Lion King. It gets better each time I watch it.

I really enjoyed Tangled... It's the only Disney movie I want to get on Bluray if I ever see it on sale (Which, given it's Disney, might be a while).

I freakin loved Tangled. I watched it for the first time this past summer and I fell in love with the music, especially I See The Light. It's totally my favorite recent Disney movie, though Brave is a reaaaaally close second.

Heh. :3
I haven't seen Brave yet... I bought it for my Dad for X-Mas, but he hasn't watched it. It feels rude to watch his movie before he has.

Sounds like you need to demand right this instant beg him to watch a movie with you and have it be Brave. It's seriously a great movie. It and Tangled are both movies that made me think "hey, maybe Disney is going back in the right direction with its movies and what made the old ones so great and popular."

Yeah, maybe. He prefers to watch repeats of NCIS over movies he asked for... Heck, he still has at least two from last year to watch. I have thought about just renting it from Redbox, which means I wouldn't have watched his copy before he did. >.>

Pssht, if he's not in a rush to watch Brave even though he asked for it, I would either 1. ask if I could watch it without him or 2. if it's unwrapped I would just be sneaky and watch it without him ever even knowing. But that's what I would do with -my- dad- totally understandable if you wouldn't do it with yours. XD But I would also say renting it from Redbox is definitely a good choice if you want to avoid any issues and avoid watching his copy. XD

If it was unwrapped, I totally would... But nope, he leaves them sealed until he actually watches them. Blah!
Wouldn't be the first time I've had to rent something in this situation... I had to do it for How to train your dragon (Which I ended up loving).

Ugh, I would die if my dad was like that, ESPECIALLY for a Disney movie. >.> That's like torture, dude. I loved How to Train Your Dragon, too. :-D Not AS much as Brave and Tangled, I think...but I also haven't watched it in a long time- not since it was in theaters.

Yeah, Tangled is probably my favorite animated film in general... But How to train your dragon is way up there (I actually got it on Bluray for myself, despite my Dad having it on DVD). I'm hoping Tangled goes on sale next Black Friday (I picked up the Brave Bluray for my dad for $9!)... Needless to say, I'll be waiting a while.

Hm. >.> I really want Tangled and Brave on DVD, too (and more than likely on Bluray, since I got a Bluray player for Christmas). I don't really want to wait until it goes on sale at a super cheap price, but at the same time Disney movies are always so expensive. >.> I have a $50.00 Amazon gift card that I still haven't used up, but two Disney movies that are fairly recent on Bluray would easily eat up that $50.00. Tangled is almost $30.00 (with Amazon Prime) and Brave is $25.00 with Amazon Prime. Brave and Tangled are a little cheaper without Bluray, but not by much.

Yeah... Disney prices suck, and they know they can get away with it. x.x Of course, there's always buying used... I've had very little issue with the used movies I've bought through Amazon (I did get the wrong movie in the right case, once, but it's not a bad track record).
I love getting the animated stuff on Bluray because it just looks gorgeous, and I tend to then appreciate it on a whole new level.

I used to love the older movies on the Disney Channel. Newer stuff? 'The Lion King' has a great story. I adore 'Brave'.

My sister loved it, and would always ask to listen to the "fuckin hound" record. So, that's what we call it in our family :)

I want to one day own a dog and name it Copper.

Animated 101 Dalmatians really kind of astounded me when I watched it recently. The art style and the narration and the music is all so perfect! If only more animated movies could be like this...

Lion King

The Jungle Book

...okay, pretty much almost all of the old school Disney movies, as well as some newer ones like Tangled and Brave. I wasn't a huge fan of the Toy Story movies when I was younger but the third one was by far the best of the three.

I'm determined to get pretty much almost all of the old school Disney movies on DVD. So far my collection is pretty big.
