In your opinion what makes a relationship successful?

How do you measure success of your relationships as in, "this is working, let's keep at it" or "This is going no where but bad places, let's end it"?

Do you agree that the person who cares less has the upper-hand/has the most power?

Do you believe that unbalanced power ends your relationships or is beneficial in your relationships?
