What good things are happening in your life right now, TQC?

Also, pretty soon I'll be embarking on getting my first fairly large, highly visible tattoo piece. I know my dad will have a conniption, because of the size, although he's becoming more and more accepting of tattoos as all his kids continue to get them. Should I warn him beforehand or just show up with it one day? If you were a parent in such a situation, which would be easier for you to handle?
