I'm having a fairly bad winter break. What the hell can I do to make it better?|
DK/DC: Any plans for NYE? I'm doing my tradition of the Twilight Zone Marathon on Sci-Fi (I refuse to call it SyFy). 10+! I've seen every episode. /something I'm very proud of.
Reconnect with old friends/make plans with people, watch movies, read books, write, learn some new cooking/baking recipes, take a walk, hang out at a coffee shop.
I've already tried to reconnect with a "friend", who I'm pretty much declaring a non-friend.
I've spent so much time at different coffee shops these last 9 days, along with reading and movies (I was puppy sitting, so I really couldn't do much) and my dad is currently starting to brew some new beer, so I can't use the kitchen :/ I really want to make some of my favourite pecan things, but our oven is broken.
I do want to write some, I just need to get the inspiration. I thought about making a book about cat zombies (I haven no idea. I was half asleep when I decided this was a really good idea). So I might just do that. Or try to write something else. Grab my headphones and my computer and do that.
I really want to take a mini-road trip but since it's almost 1:30, I'd get there around 4 or so, and on Sundays there, everything closes early. Fuck me and waking up late :( I'd do it tomorrow, but yeah. It's NYE.
I'm probably going to a bar with some friends and this boy I went on a date with last night. Then I'm taking him home.
I went out on a date last night, too! We talked movies and cats. He reminded me (looks wise) of a Tom Felton, Scott Disick love chid.
That's an interesting combo. Are you seeing him again?
We normally have a friend over and do Appetizer Day, but he's sick so we might be postponing our celebration until the weekend. As a result, I have no idea what we'll be doing.
mmm appetizer day, can I take his place?! :)
If things are bad change them.
I am pondering the idea of taking a Bikram class that lasts till New Years. The idea of sweating to the New Years seems more productive than how I usually spend it.
Hang out with the person who's least likely to piss you off and watch funny shows or something. Go out for dinner and drinks. Even one good night is better than nothing..?
Cooking and eating dinner with three of my best friends, drinking a lot of champagne, then we'll go into the city where we'll meet my boyfriend.
Go to the library and check out a million books you've been meaning to get around to reading.
We were going to go to a party with some friends, but then we found out that it's this, like, planned out ordeal and the place we're going will drive us home (yay) but also it will cost $50 just to go and that's a lot of money right now soooo...we're staying home. It's debatable if we'll be up to watch the ball drop.
I love the Zone marathons! I have the complete episode guide, I bought it with a gift certificate I won for being the Most Improved Student in 6th grade. I used to check off every episode as I saw it, back when they only aired on Sunday afternoons on the local station.
