I'm easy going...but thats the roomamte from hades
i think i'll live alone for the rest of my life
Why would they want to keep chickens in their room?
For the animal sacrifice obviously
I uh... may have two chickens in my family room... >_>
They won't stay there forever, of course, but they are Silkie bantams and they will be getting a nice coop just for them in the spring, but they can't overwinter with the rest of my flock because they are so small (right now they are about 1 or 1.5 pounds each.)
So, I have them in a medium sized dog crate and I just change their bedding (hay) every other day. Shhh... don't tell them they are chickens. They think they are parrots. :P
this comment made me really happy!
if my roommate was killing any kind of animals besides bugs and mice/rats (though the latter would make me a bit sad) in the house, i would fucking call the cops/aspca/landlord etc. Especially if it was just for shits and giggles.

Im easy going with roommates. The only thing(s) im not okay with are when they include themselves in something im doing. I like to do things alone so no eating with them, driving them, praying with them. I have roommates now and sometimes we chat but for like 5 min max. I really like that we can pretend were more like neighbors rather than roommates.
Animal sacrifices of any kind would make me kick them out and skip the asking. And that's a biologist and not-vegetarian saying that.
In all the other cases I'd probably leave myself and find a new place. I'm not one for roommates anyway.
I'm pretty easygoing normally and I like having some amount of friendship with my roommates, and also religious myself, so I don't mind things like wanting to eat together/praying before meals, and to a certain degree giving unwanted advice (as long as it isn't an excruciatingly regular occurrence and isn't done in a blatantly offensive way). I don't mind having to change the toilet rolls every once in a while, and since I don't tend to share my groceries like that I wouldn't have a problem with them drinking from the milk jug as long as it wasn't my milk. I wouldn't have a problem with the nicknacks if we were each chipping in with the furniture/decoration for the common area, and I think I could live with it even if they were religious and pertaining to a religion that I don't practice as long as the roommate wasn't trying to use them as some sort of tactic to force their religion on me. I'd still wonder why they didn't set them up in their own room though. I think I could handle the smelly food, I'd just make sure not to be in the apartment while they were cooking.
Everything else is a disrespect to me and anyone else involved, and the animal sacrifices (I don't care what the purpose is) would be the last straw.

Once they didn't actually do the things or stopped when I asked them to stop, I wouldn't ask them to leave.
I really don't understand the animal sacrifice thing. Is non-religious animal sacrifice just.. slaughtering your own animals for food?
I would lose my life if it was for pleasure. that would be something I would report to the police. i couldn't be under the same roof as that person
I've been fortunate enough that I haven't had to room with anyone other than a SO, but I'm generally easy going. But I don't like my routine messed with, and if it affects MY life, they're outta there.
Believe whatever you want, just don't ask me to participate.
I cannot tolerate living in a dirty/smelly space.
While I have raised many caged birds in the house, chickens are a bit too noisy for indoor life. However, I've kept doves indoors, and they do just fine.
I clicked all but two!
In a roommate situation, I want to be able to live, for the most part, without having to interact with them. My only non-romantic roommate situation was not horrible, but we were incompatible with regard to how we lived (not really our personalities). It caused quite a bit of tension at times because neither of us are confrontational and we'd just let shit stew.
animal sacrifice? Ya, they're getting kicked out right after I call the police...
While some of it is just entirely not okay, like animal sacrifices, some of those for me would depend on how close we were. I have some personal space issues that are very strong for people I don't know that well and I'm just living with but fairly nonexistent for my friends. My most recent roommate (in the dorms) is one of my best friends, so I don't care if she wants to drink milk out of the carton.
I don't know if it's typical for lots of roommates to do these things.... but if so, no wonder I live alone.
