what do you and your s/o do for fun when it's cold outside? we tend to stay in and watch movies, or maybe go to dinner/see a movie, but it gets old. any ideas?|
what are your weekend plans?
Friday I'm going out to some arcade bar with some friends.
Saturday I have to do a bunch of housework and then I'm going to see my dad in the evening and maybe go to a movie.
Sunday I think I'm going to try doing this girly meetup local reddit users are having in my area; I have zero female friends and that's weird and should prob change.
Craft stuff, put a puzzle together, take a bubble bath, make dinner and dessert, play video games/board games/card games, turn on music and dance, go to a bowling ally, go play pool, go to a bar and get drinks, go out just for dessert and coffee/tea, go browse a book store
Tomorrow my best friend is coming into town. We're going to a Christmas party at a friend's apartment. Saturday we're seeing The Hobbit and going to a piano bar downtown.

cooking/baking together is always fun
(We don't have extended cold times in San Diego, so more than one day in is rare.)
Having a games night on Friday, I am supposed to do something? Saturday. I think, it's in the corner of my brain, but I can't seem to remember. Sunday, I have a brunch and then back to back holiday parties.
We cook, go to the Eagles Club and drink/play poker, hang out with his roommates, watch movies once in a while.
Tomorrow I'm going to a thanksgiving/winter dinner a friend is hosting, going to a roller derby bout after. All my free time before that and all day Sunday will be in the library prepping for finals.
1. Cold's no reason to stay inside. We play in it! All the things other have mentioned, too, but we do those in the summer as well. Basically I'm saying the season has minimal bearing on our activities.
It doesn't really get cold enough here for us to stay indoors all that much. It rarely gets below 30°F, so we're pretty good still going for bike rides, hikes, walks with the dogs, etc. When we want to do indoor things, we watch movies, cook, have friends over, do art projects, go to concerts, etc. We do a lot of independent play, so like I'll be knitting while he's working on bikes or something, but we're still hanging out together.
The only firm plan I have for this weekend is going to see Petunia and the Vipers
. I'm also getting a bunch of habitats set up for some new creatures we have in the house, and need to build a shelf to house all the reptiles and the tarantula, so I'll probably work on that this weekend.
cold outside? i still bike.
Go swimming in a warm pool. This is definitely great!
we play boardgames with our friends a lot, and we also play poker in a league at restaurants and also casually at home. We play video games, I like to do puzzles and he'll put up with it :P, we watch tv, and I'll put up with watching movies occasionally because he enjoys it and I don't really. We play with our dog and try and teach him tricks.
Ok no actually its always cold here. Oh well cold for like 8 months of the year. We walk the dog (for about 20 min). Go for coffee. Go "window" shopping (go in to stores with our dog). Go out for dessert and coffee after dinner at home. Go to the bar. (all the above are within walking distance). Go to the movies (drive). Stay at home and watch a movie. Play video games together (love mario party and civ 5). Play board games together. Play Iron Chef and cook together. But mostly we invite people to our house so we dont have to drive home!!! Muahahah
my boyfriend is going to ice skate for the first time this year. maybe this weekend :) i love skating and toboganning in the winter and he's never done either of those and complains that he doesn't like winter so i told him its cause he has to do fun things to like it.
we also might go see the killers and tegan and sara on saturday. i am excite
