The sum of three numbers is 14. The sum of twice the first number, 4 times the second number, and 5 times the third number is 46. The difference between 7 times the first number and the second number is 46. What are the three numbers?
What color is your favorite number?

So: 46=2x+4y+5Z x+y+z=14 7xy=46
Therefore: y=7x46 and z=14xy
Substituting, we get: 46=2x+4(7x46)+5(14x(7x46))
and we can now solve for x, and from there easily figure out what y and z are. Unfortunately, at this point I need to pull out my calculator, and I am a lazy fuck. Soooooooo this is as far as I go.

7, 3, 4.
We have: x+y+z=14 2x+4y+5z=46 7xy=46 Easily done with straight substitution.
No infinite solutions, no calculator needed, I'm disappointed!
Yeah, it is a simple equation just overwhelming if you read and expect to solve it immediately in your head. I am sure some people can do that but I suspect most would just get annoyed and give up immediately.
