My neighbors' horses got out and were running around in our yard eating acorns. My husband went out to try to catch them and they kept running away from him. They ran down the road and stopped traffic for a good 20 minutes.
I was in the shower for most of this. Finally I got out of the shower and saw the commotion. I walked outside with a bag of apples and they both came running up to me and I got them right back into their pasture.
I took this picture of my husband with them so he can tell everyone he caught them himself. It makes him feel manly and accomplished.
This is my cat Figaro, sitting on my chest. Or rather, this is my cat Figaro's tongue, because he likes to stick it out while he's sleeping.
This is my dog Wendy. She also sticks her tongue out while she's sleeping. Must be something in the air.
This just happened at the zoo in my hometown. A woman had a baby at the zoo!
We just bought our property in October, so I'm going to use your comment as an excuse to show off pictures. =)
The view from the front door.
The view from the back door (we own the whole field)
We've got a total of 2.25 acres.
There's a pond behind the garage but I don't have a good picture of it. Our immediate neighbors have horses, a pig, and some chickens. No houses across the street. There's a goat farm 1/3 of a mile down the road.
We're also only half an hour from DC. =)
Someone in this community recommended I watch a movie on Netflix called Fish Story. It is such a happy movie. It cheers me up, and if I've freaked myself out reading creepy-pasta stories, it kinda banishes all that, too.
