Do you have cocktails or any alcoholic beverages with Thanksgiving dinner? If so, what do you enjoy? I like the idea of serving cocktails but I don't know what I should serve. |
We usually have wine with dinner (a local strawberry, a local blueberry, and some sort of red wine.
cider of any sort?
I just discovered chider today and I think it is a very autumn drink.
We usually have a dark red, a Pinot Grigio and a good bottle of champagne.
Nope. My parents are allowed to bring a bottle of wine with them, but we don't serve alcohol in our home.
Usually I'll bring Blue Moon or wine. This year I'm going with Mascato because it's one of my favorite wines.
We usually only do wine. I might bring spiked eggnog this year. My parents don't like drinking alcoholic beverages on weekdays so we never get more than wine which they'll actually drink that day.
I would like cider and pumpkin ales or other fancy microbrews. I'm not super into cocktails but maybe something with spiced rum and like... cranberry? That doesn't sound that appetizing though really.
We always do beer and wine. We used to do big thanksgivings and we'd get a keg and one year I think we served spiced rum with martinellis?
My uncle always makes Grand Mimosas and they're good and quick to make. We're also doing a negroni sbagliato which is prosecco, vermouth, and Campari. It's really good, but Campari doesn't go over well with everyone. I'm trying to find a good cocktail with cider and sparkling wine but haven't come across much that's any good...maybe we'll do bourbon and cider instead.
WINE BEER WHISKEY
If I have to have dinner with family, I need boooze.
