[lupinlover]
My brother and sister cats used to cuddle all the time and now they never do. Any ideas why?

They are over a year old. I don't remember when they stopped cuddling though, could have been around that time.

This. Cats are very cuddly as kittens, but as they get older that can change. How old are they?

They are about a year and a half.

Then it's probably just because they've grown up, it could even be a temporary thing, as long as they're acting fine otherwise I wouldn't worry or anything.

Cats go through phases and different moods just like humans. I wouldn't worry too much about it. Some cats tend to be less clingy/cuddly as they get older.

Yeah... it makes me sad. They used to be so cute together!

This. My cats are like kids with how often they go through phases.

How's the weather? In my experience, cats are a lot more affectionate when it's cold.

It's getting cold, I guess.

My cats go through phases. They really are quite a bit more complex than most people think. They get upset with each other and make amends like the rest of us. My one cat just matured recently. And between the age of 1 and 2 wasn't very cuddly, but she's coming around again.

I have a set of sibling cats as well. The male is extra cuddly and clingy, especially to me (and of course I don't mind it one bit), but the female was never very cuddly. Over the past few months, she has been very cuddly and always wanting to be next to me. I think they just go through phases.

We have two cats that are sisters. They used to cuddle when we first got them (they were a year old then, they were stray cats). We let them go out in the spring, and when one cat came back right away and the other one didn't, the one that did got all pissy with the other cat when it finally came back. They've been avoiding each other ever since. I dunno if that's really why they don't really get along anymore. They're 15 years old now.

Our 2 year old cat just went out this morning and she won't come in now. I can see frost on my car. :S This comes after her not wanting to go out for a couple of weeks. *shrugs* Cats.

They are outdoor cats, too, and I did wonder if that had anything to do with it-- if they're having crazy adventures out there that are making them hate each other. There was an overlap, too, right before I got her spayed where she was in heat. I think they might have tried to mate during this time, but I never saw. Anywaaaaaaaaay-- they are spayed and neutered, now!
