$10! I usually try for a percentage...
It depends how happy I am with it. I LOVE my stylist so I go a little over %15 percent.
$10if I liked it and they actually did what I asked them.
probably around 10 if I liked it
I have to say I'm happy to be European and never worry about these things.
I like percentages since I worry I might under tip. If I like the cut I give 15% but if I love it I might give 20-25%.
I disregard the percentage if the cut is under $15. For some reason I feel like the stylist might not be making up enough if I just give them a percentage. Occasionally I get $5 haircut coupons for this one place and I would feel bad to just give them 15% on $5.
You always tip on the full amount pre-discount.
Tell that to my mom. I always tell her that and she flips out about it.
I'm a compulsive tipper and would round to $70, and call it good.
I'd probably tip $8-$10. </p>
I got my hair dyed yesterday and tipped $15 on the $70 service because I really liked the stylist.
$10-15 depending on how much I love the haircut.
I'm a little shocked at how low people are saying they'd tip!
I guess I just love my stylist. I always give at least $8 on a $40 cut, but I've given her up to $15 if I'm in love with the results and I have the cash on me. So I guess that's 20-37.5%.
$10 unless I was a regular, then probably more. In a cheaper place I tip about 15-20%.
I never tip my massage therapist, which makes me feel like a cheapskate, but OTOH I'm not rich and he knows it. I'm thinking of giving him a year-end tip of the price of one massage to sort of make up for all the tip-less ones up to now.
15 bucks, easily up to 20 if they did a great job and made me feel comfortable, etc... i'm surprised at how low some people would tip! :o
$20, I'm super demanding with my hair.
If I like the cut enough that I will visit this stylist again, a minimum of 20%, possibly 30%.
If I don't think I'll come back, I don't tip at all.
I always tip 20%. I'm a generous tipper if the job is done well.
Is it weird that I don't tip my stylist because she owns her salon?
